Stargazing Cruise in St Augustine!

Discover the magic of the cosmos with Florida Water Warriors and Paul Jones of the Ancient City Astronomy Club! Perfect for families, curious kids, and adults alike, this unique evening blends hands-on science with the wonder of stargazing over the nation’s oldest city.

Your journey begins at the Florida Water Warriors Headquarters, where you’ll enjoy a 30-minute star and planet-themed workshop led by our educators. Paul will also have his telescope set up on land so you can get an up-close view of celestial objects before we set sail.

As the sun sets, we’ll board the boat for a 60-minute cruise under the darkening skies of St. Augustine. With Paul as your guide, you’ll learn to spot constellations, planets, and other highlights of the night sky while surrounded by the peaceful waters.

This cruise is a part of Florida Water Warrior main fundraisers. This tour helps to raise funds to help support our educational programming. Every cent goes to providing educational cruises for our students. Donations are appreciated!

When and where do we meet?

We are located in the Windward at Camachee Cove Marina, behind Odd Birds Cafe.

ARRIVAL TIME:

•  For the first 30 mins, we will be at the Florida Water Warriors Headquarters for a fun and educational celestial themed workshop. This workshop is great for all ages, but mostly geared towards ages 10 +.
• The Cruise will be boarding 30 mins after the workshop start time, and we will walk down to the boat as a group!
• This cruise is on the vessel OSPREY, on DOCK A-25.

About Florida Water Warriors

Florida Water Warriors offers low cost/no cost marine science-based cruises where students of all ages go out onto the water and conduct water testing, plankton sampling, wildlife logging and more! We believe that hands-on education is the best way to learn so the students will take away theory, practical skills, and a deeper connection with our environment.
